Salad with squid, shrimp, and cucumber
Description
A simple dish to prepare. The salad according to this recipe is delicious and easy to make. The combination of shrimp and squid works particularly well; the other ingredients serve as a background that enhances the distinctive flavor of the seafood and accentuates its delicate texture. To make the salad juicier and lighter, I suggest adding a bit of Chinese cabbage—it fits perfectly into the mix. Don't forget fresh herbs; today I'm using parsley and dill. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients from the list. It's better to boil the eggs in advance and let them cool down.
- 2
Step 2

Place the squid into boiling water for 1-1.5 minutes. The skin will almost completely come off by itself. Then immediately remove and transfer to ice water to cool.
- 3
Step 3

Shred the Chinese cabbage into strips and transfer to a deep bowl.
- 4
Step 4

Add the cucumbers cut into slices.
- 5
Step 5

Peel the eggs and cut them into cubes.
- 6
Step 6

Add boiled shrimp. If you have raw shrimp, thoroughly rinse them and boil in salted water for a few minutes, then let cool and peel, leaving the tails intact.
- 7
Step 7

After cooling the squids in cold water, thoroughly rinse them under running water. Remove the membrane and take out the chitinous plate from the inner cavity of the body. Slice the cooked and cleaned squid bodies into thin rings; this way, the squids will be especially noticeable in the salad, and the flavor accent will be focused on the seafood.
