Salad with mushrooms and crab sticks
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. This is a fairly simple salad recipe with mushrooms and crab sticks, which can be prepared in 15-20 minutes if you have all the necessary ingredients and pre-cooked carrots. The special touch of this salad lies in the fact that the crab sticks are first pan-fried. Don't be put off by their possibly unusual appearance—trust me, it turns out delicious! Thanks to the heat treatment, the flavor of the crab sticks becomes brighter and more interesting. Definitely give it a try! The salad can be served either in a large bowl or in individual portions, either warm or cold. In my opinion, it tastes especially good if allowed to sit for 1-2 hours before serving, though you can serve it right away.

Step 1

1. Prepare all the ingredients. Boil the carrots in advance and let them cool.

Step 2

2. Slice the onion into thin strips and sauté in a frying pan until cooked. Transfer to a deep bowl or directly into a salad bowl.

Step 3

3. Then, in the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms—I'm using frozen ones. Cook the mushrooms until the liquid evaporates, then add them to the onion.

4. Cut the crab sticks into thick strips (each one into 3-4 pieces) and fry them in the same pan where you cooked the onions and mushrooms. Fry the sticks for just a couple of minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the cooked sticks to the rest of the ingredients.
