Fish salad with potatoes
Description
A very filling dish! It takes literally 10 minutes to prepare (provided you already have boiled potatoes and beets, of course), yet it leaves a lasting impression. Taste-wise, this salad vaguely resembles "herring under a fur coat," but it's significantly lower in calories and, accordingly, much healthier. By the way, you can indeed make this salad not only with mackerel but also with salted herring—the flavor will be quite different, yet equally delicious.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash the beet, wrap in foil, and bake in the oven until tender (this results in a much "cleaner" and tastier beet). If for some reason this is not possible, cover with cold water and boil.
- 2
Step 2

Do the same with the potatoes.
- 3
Step 3

Meanwhile, clean the mackerel, remove the innards, bones, and skin, then cut into small pieces.
- 4
Step 4

Cool the cooked vegetables and peel them. Slice the potatoes.
- 5
Step 5

Beetroot approximately the same way.
- 6
Step 6

Celery - thinly sliced across the stalk into petals.
- 7
Step 7

Tear the washed and dried lettuce by hand onto a plate.
- 8
Step 8

Place vegetables and fish on top, season with salted yogurt. Optionally, sprinkle with finely chopped green onion.
