Salmon salad
Description
The salad is made from common ingredients that are available to almost everyone: potatoes, carrots, and pickled cucumbers. The only exception is red fish, but without it the dish won't have its recognizable flavor, so salmon must definitely be included in the list of ingredients. You can dress the salad with mayonnaise instead of vegetable oil.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Boil the carrots and potatoes in advance for 40 minutes and cool them in ice water. Buy lightly salted salmon or salt it at home 2 days in advance.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the boiled vegetables, rinse them in water, and cut into small cubes. Place the diced vegetables into a deep container.

Step 3

Cut off the ends of the pickled cucumbers and dice them into cubes of the same size. Let the diced cucumbers sit for 5 minutes to release the brine. Only then add them to the container; otherwise, your prepared salad will become watery.

Step 4

Remove bones from the lightly salted salmon, cut the fish flesh into cubes of the same size, and add to the other ingredients. Do not salt the salad—it already contains salted cucumbers and salmon!

Step 5

Rinse the green onion stalks, chop them finely, and add to a bowl. You can also add chopped dill together with the onions. Pour in odorless vegetable oil and mix the salad.

Step 6

Arrange the colorful salad on a plate and serve.
