Description

A hearty and delicious salad for any celebration. I think a nobleman would hardly refuse such a dish :) The recipe for "Russian Baron" salad is very simple, with no complications during preparation. Let's get cooking. 1. In the original recipe, chicken liver is recommended to be boiled, but I prefer to fry it. I find it tastier. You can fry the liver in butter or vegetable oil, season with salt and pepper to taste, then finely chop it. 2. Boil the potatoes and eggs. Dice the potatoes into small cubes. 3. Finely dice the pickled or marinated cucumber. 4. Finely chop the mushrooms and sauté them with onions. 5. For decoration, arrange onion rings on the plate. You can marinate them in vinegar, briefly pour over with boiling water, or use them raw. 6. Take a mold to shape the salad. I used a jar from canned peas, with both the lid and bottom removed. Place the mold in the center of the plate. 7. For the salad, you can use raw carrots, boiled carrots, or spicy Korean-style carrots—choose your preferred option. In any case, the carrots should be chopped. 8. Layer the ingredients, lightly coating each layer with mayonnaise and seasoning with salt. The first layer is chicken liver, followed by potatoes, cucumber, carrots, and mushrooms. 9. On top of the final layer, spread with mayonnaise, then place herbs, followed by the eggs. You can place the eggs whole or halved. 10. Let the salad sit for a little while, then garnish with tomato and serve. Simple and delicious. And for making the "Russian Baron" salad even more beautiful—let your imagination be your guide.
