Description
The recipe won't take much time. Tender cheese balls coated with bright shreds of crab sticks turn out delicious and appetizing. This eye-catching appetizer will attract the attention of all guests, while its simplicity and accessible ingredients will win the heart of any hostess. Crab stick dishes, already a classic on many holiday tables, come in numerous variations. I'll share my recipe, which includes olives, but you can omit them or substitute with walnuts, almonds, or olives. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients from the list. Boil the eggs in advance and let them cool. Choose crab sticks with a brighter red top to make the appetizer as vibrant and eye-catching.
- 2
Step 2

Grate the crab sticks on a fine grater. Set aside about 150 grams for coating, and transfer the rest to a deep bowl.
- 3
Step 3

Add the eggs grated on a fine grater.
- 4
Step 4

Grate the cheese finely as well.
- 5
Step 5

Add the garlic cloves pressed through a garlic press and mayonnaise.
- 6
Step 6

Mix everything thoroughly until smooth. The mixture should be dense, hold its shape when forming balls, and be slightly sticky.
- 7
Step 7

With wet hands, shape the resulting mixture into small, dense balls the size of a walnut, placing an olive inside each one.
- 8
Step 8

Roll the resulting balls in the remaining shredded crab stick flakes. The appetizer will immediately take on a festive, attractive appearance. If preparing the appetizer in advance, cover it with a bowl to prevent it from drying out, and place it in the refrigerator.

Step 9

The "Raffaello" salad with crab sticks is ready. You can line a flat plate with lettuce leaves and place the fancy balls on top.
