Tatar-style salad
Description
This recipe won't take much time. I found this simple Tatar-style salad recipe on one of the websites dedicated to the culinary traditions of Central Asian peoples. The author suggests serving this salad as a side dish to hearty meat dishes of Tatar cuisine. I would add— not only Tatar cuisine, as this refreshing (though spicy!) salad pairs wonderfully with kebabs, cutlets, and even roasted poultry! Preparing this Tatar-style salad is very easy, even a child can manage it. All ingredients are common, even basic, yet the taste of the finished dish is truly unique. Try this salad and then leave a comment on this recipe to let us know whether you liked it or not! :) Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Boil the eggs until done, then cool.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the tomatoes in any way you prefer — in slices, if you want to layer the salad, or in cubes. The main thing is to drain off the excess juice — it's not needed in the salad.
- 3
Step 3

Finely chop or press the garlic through a garlic press.
- 4
Step 4

Wash, dry, and finely chop the dill.
- 5
Step 5

Peel the eggs, separate the whites from the yolks. Chop the whites finely with a knife, mash the yolks with salt, pepper, and yogurt.
- 6
Step 6

Mix tomatoes with garlic, dill, and egg whites, then place on a plate. Top with a dressing made from yogurt and egg yolks. Chill and serve.
