Stroganov-style salad
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. This famous salad, "Stroganoff-style," shares with the classic dish the use of beef and sour cream. The meat is cut the same way as for beef Stroganoff—into thin strips. Combined with pickled cucumbers and onions, it makes a perfect appetizer! I'm not sure how bell pepper ended up in this salad—after all, it's not a typical ingredient in Russian cuisine—but in my opinion, it fits in very well! In fact, the simple recipe for Stroganoff-style salad benefits greatly from this addition. Some versions of this salad suggest using vinegar, but I don't—pickled cucumbers seem sufficient to me. However, adding mustard or horseradish to the dressing is a good idea; it gives the dish new flavor nuances that you'll definitely enjoy. Can be served immediately.
