Royal Salad
Description
Perfect for an everyday table, this is one of the most "festive" salads. The ingredient list is truly exceptional—shrimp, squid, caviar... And of course, mayonnaise—how could we do without it, especially on a holiday! :) However, using store-bought mayonnaise for a royal salad is, let's agree, a faux pas! The final dish will have a completely different taste and appearance if you make the mayonnaise yourself. That said, the salad turns out delicious even for those who prefer convenience. Sometimes it's made without onion, but I think a bit of fresh crunch won't hurt the dish. I'd even try adding cucumber, if I weren't afraid it would release too much moisture and make the salad soggy... Anyway, I'll tell you how. Decorate as desired and serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Clean the squid bodies and boil in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- 2
Step 2

Do the same with the shrimp.
- 3
Step 3

While the squid and shrimp are cooling, slice the onion into thin half-rings.
- 4
Step 4

And make mayonnaise — in a tall glass, blend the egg with salt, sugar, lemon juice, and mustard using a blender, then gradually pour in the oil and whisk the sauce at high speed for 2 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Slice the cooled squid into rings.
- 6
Step 6

Meanwhile, boil the eggs.
- 7
Step 7

Place squid rings and shrimp on a plate.
- 8
Step 8

Grate the boiled eggs on a coarse grater and sprinkle on top.
- 9
Step 9

Place the onion.
- 10
Step 10

Dress the salad with mayonnaise and mix. Sometimes caviar is added directly into the salad, but I don't like this option—the caviar bursts, making it look messy. So it's better to place the caviar (whether two spoons or a whole can) on top. Chill the salad for half an hour and then serve. , Your Majesties! :)
