Spicy bean salad
Description
The salad is quick and easy to prepare. This dish is perfect for those who enjoy spicy flavors. Thanks to the citrus note, the salad turns out wonderfully aromatic and original. If you'd like to make it more filling, you can add boiled chicken breast, for example. 1. First, place a pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. 2. Peel the garlic. If you have a mortar and pestle, use it. Add the chopped chili and garlic to the mortar and crush into a paste. 3. Add sugar, fish sauce, and lemon juice. Taste the dressing and, if needed, add a bit more sugar or pepper. 4. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 1 minute. Meanwhile, prepare a colander with ice. Place the beans into the colander and set it on the ice. This will keep the beans bright green. Afterwards, dry them with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. 5. Slice the onion into half-rings. Red onion works best, but if using white onion, you can blanch it with boiling water. 6. Peel the grapefruit (or use an orange or pomelo in this spicy bean salad recipe) and cut it into segments. 7. Combine all ingredients in a salad bowl and pour the dressing over. 8. Add some fresh mint, and your homemade spicy bean salad is ready to serve. The salad is now ready to be enjoyed.
