Salad
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. Every family has its favorite salads that have been prepared for holidays for many, many years, and no one intends to give them up. But what if you beautifully present a long-familiar salad and surprise your guests? :) I'll tell you how. You can serve it immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Pre-cook the chicken drumstick, vegetables, and eggs until done. Cool and peel.
- 2
Step 2

2. Cut the vegetables into small cubes.
- 3
Step 3

3. Remove the skin and bones from the chicken thigh, cut the meat into small pieces.
- 4
Step 4

4. Slice the mushrooms. I use mushrooms that I've picked and marinated myself. For decorating the salad, you can use marinated oyster mushrooms or button mushrooms.
- 5
Step 5

5. Hard-boiled eggs are also cut into cubes.
- 6
Step 6

6. Add salt and pepper to the prepared ingredients to taste, and add 2-3 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Do not overdo the mayonnaise; the salad should hold its shape well.
- 7
Step 7

7. Mix the salad and transfer it to a mold lined with plastic wrap, pressing it down firmly. I used a herring tin :) Set aside 3-4 tablespoons of the salad for later decoration.
- 8
Step 8

8. For salad decoration, we will need rye croutons. Dry the bread in the oven, then rub it with garlic.
- 9
Step 9

9. And chop it. The crumbs should not be uniform, resembling breadcrumbs. After all, bark on tree stumps is usually uneven :)
- 10
Step 10

10. Place the salad onto a serving plate and remove the film.
- 11
Step 11

11. Use the salad we set aside to form roots at the stump.
- 12
Step 12

12. Optionally, brush the salad log with mayonnaise so that the breadcrumbs adhere well to it.
- 13
Step 13

13. And now the most crucial step—creating the bark texture on the stump.
- 14
Step 14

14. Garnish the salad with herbs and little mushrooms. That's it, isn't it beautiful? :)
