Salad
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. The "New Year's Forest" salad is exactly what your holiday table needs this New Year. It's a wonderful dish with varying recipes, yet all versions have one thing in common: at least one ingredient must come from the forest. You can experiment with the base, but you still need to know it first! That's precisely why we're going to figure it out now. You can serve it immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients. Boil the eggs hard.
- 2
Step 2

Boil the chicken for about 20 minutes in salted water. Then cool it and cut into medium-sized cubes.
- 3
Step 3

Wash a small potato and boil it in its skin until cooked (about 20 minutes after boiling). Check doneness with a fork or knife: if the utensil easily pierces the potato, it's ready. Then cool and cut into cubes.
- 4
Step 4

Next, prepare the onion. Slice it into half-rings and marinate in vinegar with salt and sugar.
- 5
Step 5

Peel the boiled eggs and cut them into cubes.
- 6
Step 6

Now it's time for the marinated mushrooms. We slice them into pieces that match the size of the other ingredients. But don't forget to set aside a few whole mushrooms for garnish!
- 7
Step 7

And at the final stage, we just need to mix all the ingredients in a suitable dish, adding mayonnaise and salt to taste.
- 8
Step 8

Next, place the resulting mixture onto a lettuce leaf prepared on a serving dish, decorate the salad with whole mushrooms, and add a few cranberries for a more festive look. That's it, ready to serve!
