Salad
Description
A simple dish to prepare. If you shape the salad like an eight instead of balls, this dish can be served at a festive table for International Women's Day. The key is to use your imagination and creativity. You can also slightly vary the ingredients. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients: wash and boil the carrots and potatoes, and hard-boil the eggs. Peel the cooked potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Grate the boiled carrots on a medium grater. Peel the onion and chop it into small cubes.
- 2
Step 2

In a small container, pour hot water and add lemon juice to give it a slightly sour taste. Add the chopped onion to this water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Remove the cod liver from the can and mash it with a fork. Sprinkle the liver with lemon juice (one tablespoon will be needed).
- 4
Step 4

We peel the eggs, separate the yolks from the whites, then grate each separately on a medium grater.
- 5
Step 5

In one bowl, combine cod liver, potatoes, onion, and green peas. Add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper, and mix everything well.
- 6
Step 6

From the resulting mixture, shape "New Year's ornaments." Place the salad onto a semi-circular dish, pressing it down firmly. Then, invert the dish with the contents onto another serving plate, in which the salad will be presented at the festive table.
- 7
Step 7

As a result, we get two balls. On top, make a mayonnaise grid on them and sprinkle with grated egg white.
- 8
Step 8

Cover one ball with grated carrots on top. Sprinkle the upper part of the ball with chopped herbs. Sprinkle the second ball with grated yolk and decorate it any way you like. As you can see, there's nothing complicated about making the "New Year's Ornaments" salad.
