Description

1. First, thoroughly wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into four equal parts. For the "Monarch" salad recipe, it's best to use potatoes of the same size. If desired, you can boil them in their skins and peel them afterward. 2. Let the cooked potatoes cool, then place them into a deep salad bowl. 3. Peel the onion (in this case, purple onion) and slice it thinly. Optionally, you can marinate the onion beforehand. 4. Wash and dry the tomatoes. The best option is to use cherry tomatoes, which only need to be halved. 5. Combine all the vegetables in the salad bowl and gently mix. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add other spices if desired. Crumble or grate the cheese over the top. 6. Now it's time to prepare the dressing. This simple "Monarch" salad recipe calls for an easy dressing—olive oil with wine vinegar, tomato sauce (either sweet or spicy), and fresh herbs. Tarragon, basil, and parsley work perfectly. 7. It's best to serve the finished dressing separately in a small bowl.
