Salad with natural crab meat
Description
A simple dish to prepare. Crab meat pairs wonderfully with vegetables, fresh herbs, and light dressings. To avoid overpowering its delicate flavor, I recommend making homemade mayonnaise specifically for this salad—it's quite easy. Alternatively, you can dress the salad with balsamic cream or simply with olive oil. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. You can make mayonnaise yourself: beat an egg yolk with a pinch of salt, one teaspoon of sugar, one teaspoon of dry mustard, gradually adding 75 ml of vegetable oil, while continuing to whisk.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the vegetables, peel them, and grate into roughly equal pieces.
- 3
Step 3

Grate the cheese on a grater.
- 4
Step 4

If the crab was already boiled but frozen, simply thaw it. For the salad, boiled meat will be perfect.
- 5
Step 5

Take apart the claws.
- 6
Step 6

You can separate the crab meat into small pieces with your fingers or a knife.
- 7
Step 7

Now layer the ingredients into small glasses or salad bowls in the following order: cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, crab meat, and cheese on top. Dress with the prepared mayonnaise—and your salad is ready to serve.
