Carrot salad with garlic
Description
Perfect for everyday meals. You can boil the carrots in advance and cool them in ice water, then store in the refrigerator. Add any spices and herbs to the salad to taste; it particularly stands out when combined with vegetable seasoning. Keep in mind that carrots are slightly sweet, so balance their sweetness with 1-2 pinches of salt. Decorate as desired and serve.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Peel the large carrots and rinse them in water. Peel the garlic cloves and rinse them as well. Instead of fresh garlic, you may use dried ground garlic, garlic sauce, or mayonnaise.

Step 2

Place the carrots in a cauldron, saucepan, or pot and pour boiling water over them. Put the container on the stove and boil for 20-25 minutes.

Step 3

Drain the water and pour ice-cold water over the boiled vegetables to cool them quickly. It's best to boil them in advance and chill in the refrigerator.
- 4
Step 4

Grate the carrot on a grater with small or large holes — as you prefer. You can even cut it into small cubes.
- 5
Step 5

Press the garlic cloves into the container with the carrots using a special gadget.
- 6
Step 6

Spread mayonnaise of any fat content, season with salt and pepper. Gently mix everything. Sour cream can be used optionally, if the salad will be served immediately.

Step 7

But it's best to leave it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. It will absorb the garlic flavor and aroma. If you like fresh herbs in your dishes, you can chop them finely and mix them in as well.
