Chicken salad with prunes and mushrooms
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I've always been a bit skeptical about layered salads because I didn't understand why to carefully and neatly assemble a salad when you could just mix all the ingredients in one bowl. However, making and arranging this salad nicely is the easiest thing in the world. Serve it at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
First, pour hot water over the prunes and let them soak for half an hour. Then rinse, dry, remove the pits if necessary, and chop finely.
- 2
Step 2
Wash the chicken fillet, boil in salted water until cooked. Cool and slice.
- 3
Step 3
Boil the eggs hard. After cooling, peel and chop them.
- 4
Step 4
Peel and chop the onion. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add the onion and sauté until translucent.
- 5
Step 5
Wash the mushrooms, dry them, slice and add to the pan with the onions. Fry over medium heat until cooked. Don't forget to season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Step 6
Wash, dry, and slice the cucumber.
- 7
Step 7
To make the dressing, combine sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, a little salt, and pepper. Mix well. However, you can also use more traditional mayonnaise.
- 8
Step 8
When all the ingredients are ready, you can start assembling the salad. It will be layered. Place the prunes in an even layer on the serving plate.
- 9
Step 9
Next—chicken and half of the dressing.
- 10
Step 10
Next — fried mushrooms with onions and a little seasoning.
- 11
Step 11
Place the eggs in an even layer and spread the remaining dressing over them.
- 12
Step 12
Add the cucumbers last. That's it, the chicken salad with prunes and mushrooms is ready. Let it sit for half an hour before serving, so it can marinate.
