Squid salad with onion and mayonnaise
Description
Perfect for everyday dining. 1. Place eggs in cold water and put on the stove. Boil until hard, then cool and peel. 2. Remove the membranes from the squid and plunge them into boiling salted water for a couple of minutes, then carefully remove and cool. Another option is to place the squid in boiling water, immediately remove from heat, cover with a lid, and let stand for about 7–10 minutes. Overcooking may make the squid tough. 3. Cut the cooked squid into thin strips and place in a salad bowl. 4. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Cut the whites into thin strips, while the yolks can be crumbled and used for garnish. 5. Peel the onion and slice into thin half-rings. Pour over with boiling water for a few minutes, then drain and dry. Alternatively, you may use vinegar-marinated onion. 6. Another interesting addition to the squid salad with onion and mayonnaise is fresh cucumber. You can peel it beforehand to preserve the salad's delicate texture. 7. Combine all ingredients in the salad bowl. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, and dress with mayonnaise. 8. Serve the dish either in a salad bowl or in individual portions, shaped using a ring mold. Before serving, sprinkle with yolk and garnish with herbs or a cherry tomato, for example. This simple yet delicious recipe is ready—decorate as desired and serve.
