Fruit salad
Description
The recipe won't take much time. My wife and I first tried this salad during a cruise on a ship along the Volga River. This seemingly simple fruit salad was served to us for breakfast. We really enjoyed its taste and found it unusual. Fortunately, we managed to find out from the chef that the salad's secret lies in a special sugar syrup made with white wine. We tried making it at home with fresh berries and fruits—indeed, it's much tastier this way. I'm happy to share it. Serve it at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Pour the sugar into a small saucepan.
- 2
Step 2

Pour the wine into the same pot.
- 3
Step 3

Place over low heat and dissolve the sugar in the wine without bringing it to a boil. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool.
- 4
Step 4

In a salad bowl, place peeled and cubed melon (I have two varieties).
- 5
Step 5

Add blueberries and strawberries to the same bowl. Large strawberries should be cut into 4 pieces, medium ones into 2 pieces, and small ones can be left whole.
- 6
Step 6

Add finely chopped fresh mint leaves.
- 7
Step 7

Pour the cooled sugar syrup over our fruits and berries. Mix well.
- 8
Step 8

The fruit salad is ready. Serve immediately! ;)
