
Lentil salad with mustard
Description
A simple dish to prepare. A great vegetarian dish that many will enjoy. The salad can be served warm or chilled. It can easily be served instead of a vegetable side dish for meat or fish. Add fresh herbs to the salad: parsley, dill, or green onion. Serve chilled.

1. Cut the carrots into cubes or half-rings, peel the turnip and cut it into cubes. Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan and heat it, then add the turnip and carrots. Sauté the vegetables until the turnip becomes tender.

2. Dice the onion and add it to the other vegetables, then add minced garlic and ground cloves.

3. Mix all the ingredients and sauté for about 5-7 minutes.

4. Add the lentils and pour in the water, mix, cover with a lid, bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.

5. Make sure the lentils are cooked, then drain everything into a colander.

6. Return all the vegetables back to the pot, add the butter.

7. Meanwhile, place mustard, vinegar, salt, and ground pepper into a bowl.
