Iceberg Salad
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. This cool recipe for an iceberg salad also features an original presentation, so you can definitely surprise your family and guests. The rich dressing goes perfectly with the vegetables, and the flavor and aroma of bacon will be the highlight of the dish. Despite being a light salad, it's quite filling. I highly recommend trying to recreate it in your kitchen. Can be served immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. First, wash and dry the tomatoes. Chop them into cubes, add a little salt, and place in a colander to drain excess juice.
- 2
Step 2

2. Peel the onion and finely chop it. Sprinkle with vinegar. Set aside the tomatoes and onion while you prepare the next ingredients.
- 3
Step 3

3. Place the bacon in a skillet and fry until crispy. Then transfer to a paper towel to remove excess fat.
- 4
Step 4

4. Crumble a couple of bread slices into crumbs by hand (you can, of course, use store-bought breadcrumbs in the iceberg salad recipe, but fresh bread will taste better). Place them in the hot skillet after the bacon, and sauté for 3-4 minutes, stirring.
- 5
Step 5

5. Place the blue cheese into a deep bowl.
- 6
Step 6

6. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Mix thoroughly.
- 7
Step 7

7. Season lightly with salt, add a pinch of pepper and lemon juice. Beat well once again. That's it, the dressing for the iceberg lettuce salad is ready.

Step 8

8. And now the most interesting part – serving. Carefully cut the iceberg lettuce into 4 pieces and arrange on a plate. Add bacon, breadcrumbs, onion, and tomatoes. Generously drizzle with dressing and, if desired, garnish with fresh herbs. Deliciously amazing and beautiful!
