Description

Minimum effort — excellent result. "Capercaillie's Nest" is a beautiful festive salad made with chicken fillet, potatoes, cucumbers, and fresh herbs, dressed with mayonnaise and vegetable oil. Presenting the salad is very important—try to decorate it as beautifully as possible. Can be served immediately.

Instructions

    Step 1

    Step 1

    1. Boil the chicken fillet in salted water until cooked through. 20-25 minutes will be enough. You can add a bay leaf and a couple of peppercorns to the pot, but this is optional. Let the cooked fillet cool down.

    2. Boil chicken and quail eggs hard. Cool and peel.

    Step 3

    3. Peel the onion, slice it thinly into half-rings, and pour over with boiling water. I recommend adding a little vinegar and sugar to the water, although this is optional. We do this to reduce the sharpness of the onion.

    4. Peel the potatoes, rinse them, and slice thinly.

  5. 5

    9. Chop the chicken fillet. Wash the cucumbers and cut them into thin strips. If the cucumbers are store-bought or have thick skin, peel them.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

    10. Start assembling our salad. Place the onion, after draining the liquid, onto a large flat plate. Put the chicken fillet on top of the onion. Spread mayonnaise over the fillet.

    12. Spread the cucumbers with a thin layer of mayonnaise and place the eggs on top.

  13. 13

    13. Arrange the grated cheese so that a small indentation forms in the center.

    16. It remains only to decorate the salad with eggs. Cut the quail eggs in half, remove the yolks. Add mayonnaise, a little chopped herbs, and grated processed cheese. Mash everything together with a fork and use the mixture to fill the quail egg halves. Then place them into our "nest."
