Instructions

Step 1

To prepare the "Chicken" salad, we will use a processed cheese slice. Grate the cheese slice on a coarse grater. To make the cheese easier to grate, slightly freeze it in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
- 2
Step 2

Boil the chicken eggs. Peel them and cool thoroughly. Warm chicken eggs will crack when sliced.
- 3
Step 3

Cut each egg in half and remove the yolks. Place the yolks in a bowl with the cheese, and set the egg halves aside. Add sour cream, a little salt, and pressed garlic to the bowl with the cheese and yolks. Mix everything well.

Step 4

Fill the egg halves with salad. The salad is quite thick. Moisten your hands with water, and shape the remaining salad into as many balls as you have egg halves. These will be the chick heads.

Step 5

From raw carrots, shape a crest on the bird's head and a beak. Use black pepper corns for the eyes.
- 6
Step 6

Using a carrot, make wings.

Line the serving dish with lettuce leaves. Place the chicken pieces on top of the leaves, distributing them evenly across the dish. Although the salad is served on a single platter, it is intended to be portioned.

Serve the salad at the table. Thus, this familiar salad has gained a new life, a new name, and such a fresh appearance.
