Smoked chicken salad
Description
Caesar salad with chicken is served today in almost every café, but usually the chicken for this salad is boiled, grilled, or fried in oil. Few people know, however, that there's an even simpler version—Caesar salad with smoked chicken. For those who love chicken with a delicate smoky aroma, this salad is simply perfect! :) The only thing I'd like to warn you about is that Caesar is such a simple, "basic" salad that you should only use the freshest and highest-quality ingredients. So avoid buying smoked chicken that looks suspicious in appearance or color, sealed in vacuum packaging. Instead, take the trouble to go to the market and purchase real smoked chicken, not a fake version made with liquid smoke. Only then will your Caesar salad be absolutely flawless.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Remove the crust from the loaf. If the bread is fresh, tear the crumb by hand; if it's stale, cut it into cubes with a knife. Place on a baking sheet, drizzle with oil, sprinkle lightly with salt, and bake in the oven until golden. Let cool.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the smoked chicken into pieces or tear it into chunks.
- 3
Step 3

Grate the Parmesan on a grater.
- 4
Step 4

Wash the lettuce leaves, dry them, and tear each leaf into 2-4 pieces by hand.
- 5
Step 5

The sauce can be made using whole eggs or only yolks. In the first case, place them in boiling water for 1 minute.
- 6
Step 6

In the second step, separate the yolks from the whites.
- 7
Step 7

Peel the garlic clove and crush it with salt and pepper. Add mustard, lemon juice, and egg yolks, then beat. While continuing to beat, gradually add olive oil. The result should be a fairly smooth, light yellow sauce.
- 8
Step 8

Drizzle the sauce over the salad leaves and gently toss.

Step 9

Place the pieces of chicken and croutons on top, pour the remaining sauce over them, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan. If desired, garnish with tomato slices. That's it — now you know how to make a "Caesar salad" with smoked chicken!
