
Prune salad
Description
The prunes in this recipe add a sweet note to the salad, resulting in an interesting sweet combination of dried fruit with chicken fillet, instead of the usual expected taste of a meat salad. This salad can be served with a side of potatoes or boiled rice. The entire preparation process is quite simple: layer all the ingredients and spread each layer with mayonnaise. See for yourself,

1. Clean and wash the mushrooms, cut into medium pieces. Peel and wash the onion, slice into half-rings. Sauté the onion and mushrooms in a heated skillet with added sunflower oil, then transfer to the bottom of a salad bowl.

2. Boil the chicken breast in salted water, then cut it into small pieces and place it on top of the mushrooms and onions.

3. Spread a layer of mayonnaise. Soak the prunes in boiling water for 10 minutes, then drain the water and cut them into small pieces. Place them over the mayonnaise, reserving a couple for decoration. Dice fresh or pickled cucumbers into small cubes and place them over the prunes, then spread with mayonnaise.

4. Boil the eggs, then grate them on a coarse grater and spread as the next layer; after that, spread mayonnaise over them again.

5. Place the prunes reserved for decoration to create a birch pattern, then refrigerate the salad for 2 hours.
