Fish soup with celery
Description
Fish soup is very healthy and nutritious—serve it not only to adults but also to children. For little ones, it's best to serve broth in bowls and offer sour cream and croutons on the side; they help mask the fish aroma, and children happily eat their first course.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Clean the fish from scales, gut it, and rinse thoroughly. Remove the gills. Cut the fish into pieces and place them into a pot or cauldron. Immediately add the washed rice, as it takes approximately the same cooking time as the fish. Add bay leaves.
- 3
Step 3

Pour in warm water, place the pot on the stove, and bring the contents to a boil, removing any foam that forms. Then season the dish with salt and pepper.
- 4
Step 4

Peel the carrots and onions, rinse them in water, grate the carrots on a fine grater, and finely chop the onions into small cubes.
- 5
Step 5

After 15 minutes of cooking, add the chopped vegetables to the pot.
- 6
Step 6

Add the celery at the same time. You can use either fresh stalk celery or frozen.
- 7
Step 7

Boil the soup for another 5-6 minutes and taste it. If desired, add ground garlic or fresh herbs to the broth.
- 8
Step 8

Place the boiled fish on plates, pour the broth with rice and vegetables over it, and serve.
