Fish soup with shrimp
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Sometimes you buy a whole fish and then struggle to figure out what to cook with it. Personally, I often rely on fish soup with shrimp in such cases—a very simple dish that helps use up almost every part of the fish. It turns out filling, delicious, and, thanks to saffron, wonderfully aromatic. I hope my photo recipe will be helpful. Good luck! :) Serve the soup hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

We start with the fish. As shown in the photo, cut off the tail and fins, then separate the fillet from the skin and bones.
- 2
Step 2

We set the fish fillet aside for now, and place everything else left over from preparing the fish into a pot, then add water—a little more than two liters. Add the peeled vegetables to the pot and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer for another 40 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the vegetables and all fish from the broth and discard. Add our protein to the broth, stir, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, strain the broth.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the fish fillet into small pieces.
- 5
Step 5

Add saffron and diced potatoes to the already strained broth. Season with salt.

Step 6

5 minutes before the potatoes are done, add the shrimp and fish fillet. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Serve the soup hot, garnished with herbs.
