Fish soup with lentils
Description
A hearty first course dish. 1. To start the recipe for lentil fish soup, bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add lentils and cook for about 10 minutes after boiling. 2. This time is sufficient to prepare the vegetables. Peel the onion, carrots, and potatoes. 3. Finely dice the onion and add it to the saucepan. 4. Follow with grated carrots and chopped celery stalk. 5. To speed up the cooking of homemade lentil fish soup, you can also grate the potatoes and add them to the saucepan. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add your favorite spices and aromatic herbs. 7. Add the washed pieces of salmon. Another fish that works great in this soup is tuna. 8. Reduce the heat and simmer the soup for another 7–10 minutes, until done. Add some fresh herbs to each serving bowl before serving. The dish turns out quite diet-friendly, but there's a way to make the lentil fish soup richer: add a little vegetable oil at the end of cooking, or serve with a spoon or two of sour cream. Serve the soup hot.
