
Fish soup with cod
Description
Hearty and aromatic soup. If the cod is fresh, it should be salted with sea salt for 24 hours; if already salted, it should be soaked. This soup is very tasty and will perfectly diversify your everyday menu. The listed ingredients yield 5-6 servings. Serve the soup hot, garnished with fresh herbs and sour cream.

Wash the fresh cod and place it in a container, cover with sea salt, and refrigerate overnight. Then remove and rinse thoroughly.

Peel the onion and carrot and cut into medium pieces. Finely chop the celery stalks and mince the garlic using a press. Wash the parsley and separate the leaves from the stems, then finely chop the stems.

In a saucepan, heat the olive oil, add the prepared vegetables and herbs, and crumble in the dried chili pepper. Sauté the vegetables over low heat with the lid slightly ajar for about 15 minutes.

Add the canned tomatoes and stir, pour in the broth, a little water, and bring to a boil.

With a spatula, stir the contents of the pot and place the cod fillet into it. Cook for about 15 minutes, until the fish begins to break apart into pieces.
