Simple salad with fried mushrooms
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Only 3 main ingredients. It's high in calories, of course, but very delicious. A couple of little secrets will help you prepare it perfectly. Serve it at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Slice the mushrooms into pieces. The first secret – don't wash the mushrooms, just wipe them with a damp cloth. Excess moisture from washing prevents mushrooms from frying properly.
- 3
Step 3

Heat a little oil in a cast-iron skillet. Add the mushrooms and cook over medium heat, stirring infrequently. Do not add salt—that's the second secret.
- 4
Step 4

Place the cooked mushrooms on a salad plate and season with salt and pepper to taste. Freshly ground pepper is much better. While the mushrooms are still warm, sprinkle them with a layer of grated hard-boiled eggs. Season again lightly with salt and pepper.
- 5
Step 5

Spread mayonnaise on top of the eggs. There shouldn't be too much—this is the third secret. A thin, even layer is quite sufficient.
- 6
Step 6

Sprinkle the salad with grated cheese on top. Use a coarse grater. Choose a cheese with a neutral taste and pleasant creamy aroma, such as Gouda or Lambert.
- 7
Step 7

Let the salad sit for about half an hour before serving. But don't put the salad in the fridge—that's the final secret. Just leave it on the table, covered, so the cheese doesn't dry out. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Serve at the table.
