Festive meat salad
Description
Perfect for everyday meals. Looking at the ingredient list for this salad, you won't see anything unusual, but it's the preparation method that makes this salad completely different from others. The onion, carrots, and chicken breast are sautéed in vegetable oil before being added to the salad. This gives it a special touch, making the salad very filling and delicious. After I tried this salad for the first time, I never wanted to prepare it any other way. I suggest you try this version too. Garnish as desired and serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel and rinse all the vegetables.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the potatoes into small cubes and place them in boiling water. Add a little salt and cook until done.
- 3
Step 3

Finely dice the onion and carrot and sauté in vegetable oil.
- 4
Step 4

Then add chicken breast cut into small pieces and cook, stirring frequently, for another 15 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Mix the fried chicken breast with vegetables, boiled potatoes, and diced eggs.
- 6
Step 6

Add the canned peas and part of the mayonnaise (about 150 g). Mix well.
- 7
Step 7

Soak the gelatin in a small amount of water for 10 minutes. Then dissolve the gelatin by heating it in a water bath or microwave. Note that the gelatin must not be brought to a boil.
- 8
Step 8

Mix the gelatin with the remaining mayonnaise. Bring to a homogeneous consistency.
- 9
Step 9

Line a deep salad bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to chill thoroughly. Then, take 2/3 of the mayonnaise jelly and spread it thinly over the bottom and sides of the bowl. Since the bowl is cold, the jelly will begin to set quickly. Immediately return it to the refrigerator and let it set completely.
- 10
Step 10

Place the prepared salad into a salad bowl, then top with the remaining mayonnaise jelly. Refrigerate until the top layer is completely set.
- 11
Step 11

Turn the finished salad onto a flat plate and remove the plastic wrap.
- 12
Step 12

Garnish the salad to your taste.
