
Lentil Soup
Description
A hearty first course. It's better to buy lentils in small packets—they're easier to measure and usually cleaner. To prepare lentil soup, we'll need vegetables—tomato, pepper, onion, and carrot—nothing unusual. Feel free to add various spices as desired. Check the recipe. Serve in bowls and enjoy.

Step 1

Rinse the lentils and soak them until they swell.

We clean and chop the vegetables. Meanwhile, we put the lentils on to cook.

Cut the carrot into thin strips.

Pepper into small cubes.

We also chop the onion into cubes.

Add carrots, onion, and pepper to the soup. You can add more water, as it evaporates.

When the soup comes to a boil again, reduce the heat. Chop the tomato and add it to the soup. Cook for another 30 minutes. Serve the ready lentil soup with rye bread.
