Easter chicken salad

20 min4 serv.20 февр. 2026 г.

Description

The salad is quick and easy to prepare. It will become a bright centerpiece for your festive Easter table — this rabbit-shaped salad will surely delight both guests and children! The preparation time I indicated does not include boiling the chicken breast and eggs; it's better to boil and cool them in advance. For decorating the rabbit, I used grated egg whites, cheese, black olives, and two small leaves of Chinese cabbage. The salad is very tasty and juicy, and doesn't require long marinating—just let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the ingredients to blend, then serve. It's best to keep the rabbit in the fridge during those 15 minutes. Good luck and happy holiday! The salad is ready to be served.

    5. Separate the yolks from the whites. Chop the yolks with a knife and add them to the salad bowl with the other ingredients, then grate the whites on a fine grater—they will serve as a "fur coat" for the rabbit.

    6. Grate half of the cheese on a coarse grater for the salad, and the other half on a fine grater for garnish.

    7. Place all the ingredients into a salad bowl, except for some of the cheese and the egg whites. Dress the salad with mayonnaise. I didn't add salt, as there's enough in the salad ingredients, but adjust to your taste.

    8. Place the salad on lettuce or cabbage leaves, shaping it to resemble a rabbit's body.

    9. Top the rabbit with a coating of grated egg whites. Use cheese to create spots, eyes, and a nose—halves of black olives—for the nose and eyes. Use cabbage leaves for the ears. The Easter rabbit is ready! Let it chill in the refrigerator for a little while before serving.
