Vegetable salad with herring fillet
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. Vegetable salad with herring fillet is a great alternative to traditional mayonnaise-based herring salads. It looks bright and attractive on the table, and tastes refreshingly delicious! Very easy to prepare. Wash, peel, and chop the vegetables, then place them into a large bowl. Add canned beans and sliced herring fillet strips. You can dress the salad with vinegar and vegetable oil right in the bowl, or after arranging it on fresh salad leaves. Can be served immediately.

Step 1

1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the salad. Wash and peel the vegetables. You can cut a rose shape out of the carrot using a special knife.
- 2
Step 2

2. Dry the herring fillet with a paper towel. Cut the bell pepper and carrot into thin strips. Slice the onion into thin half-rings.

Step 3

3. Herring pairs well with high-protein foods. That's why I recommend using beans. You can, of course, boil the beans beforehand, but it's more convenient to use canned beans. Place the beans in a colander to drain. If you don't want to use beans, add boiled eggs cut into quarters to the salad. Now place all the prepared ingredients into a bowl. Cut the herring fillet into thin strips and add it to the bowl as well. Mix well.

Step 5

5. Place the contents of the bowl onto the salad leaves. Drizzle with vinegar and oil. I use approximately 4 tablespoons of each.

Step 6

6. You can add salt to the salad if you wish. However, it's usually not necessary, as herring is already quite salty. Vegetable salad with herring fillet is ready!
