Rinse the chicken drumstick thoroughly and place it in a 2-liter pot. Add a pinch of salt, bay leaf, pepper, and a clove of garlic. Pour in enough water to cover, then place on low heat to simmer. Cook for 40 minutes from the moment it begins to boil.
