
Korean-style chicken hearts
Description
You can adjust the amount of spices to your taste. You can also mince the garlic and leave it in the salad, but for me it stands out in flavor, so I prefer to remove it. Before serving, you can sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds, but this is optional.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Rinse the chicken hearts, cut them in half. Cover with water and place over heat. Cook for 40 minutes. After 20 minutes of boiling, add salt.

Remove the finished hearts from the heat.

Drain in a colander to let the broth drip off.

Cut the carrots into thin strips or grate them on a Korean grater. Transfer to a salad bowl or a bowl.

In a saucepan, heat the vegetable oil until smoking, add the onion and fry until dark. Remove the onion afterward.

Transfer the chicken hearts to a salad bowl. Add coarsely crushed garlic, spices, and salt. Pour hot aromatic oil over the top. Cover with a lid and let stand without stirring for 20 minutes.

After the time has elapsed, remove the garlic. Mix the contents of the bowl. Cover with a lid and refrigerate for 6–8 hours. Usually, the salad is left overnight.
