Lentil cream soup
Description
Serve the soup with sesame seeds or croutons, your favorite spices or herbs. To increase the soup's calorie content, you can add a little cream before turning off the heat. Good luck! The soup is ready to serve.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for the soup. You can adjust the soup's thickness by varying the amount of water. Use spices to your taste; I added only bay leaf and a pinch of oregano at the end of cooking—I like its flavor in dishes.
- 2
Step 2

Sort the lentils to remove debris, then rinse off dust until the water runs clear.
- 3
Step 3

Add lentils to boiling salted water and cook until soft; cooking time directly depends on the type of lentils. It took me 25 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Peel the vegetables, finely chop the onion and garlic, and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
- 5
Step 5

Fry the vegetables in vegetable oil until cooked.
- 6
Step 6

Add the tomato sauce and simmer it with the vegetables for a minute.
- 7
Step 7

Peel the potatoes and cut them into 4 pieces.
- 8
Step 8

Add potatoes, fried vegetables, spices, and bay leaf to the cooked lentils. Simmer everything together for 15-20 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Remove the bay leaf from the finished soup and use an immersion blender to puree the soup until creamy.
