Crab salad
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. For the crab salad, I use a classic combination: crab sticks, corn, eggs, and mayonnaise. To help the salad hold its shape and prevent it from becoming runny, I added a bit of boiled rice and reduced the amount of mayonnaise. Thanks to this, the salad held up perfectly, stayed firm in the refrigerator, and remained just as beautiful and delicious several hours later. Check out the step-by-step instructions—I'll show you how easy and simple it is to create the symbol of the year for your New Year's table. Can be served immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Boil the eggs for 9–10 minutes. Boil the carrots for 45 minutes. Cool them down. Cook a quarter cup of rice with a pinch of salt. Let it cool. Drain as much liquid as possible from the corn.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the crab sticks into cubes. Place them in a large salad bowl.
- 3
Step 3

Separate the eggs into whites and yolks. Set the whites aside for decorating the tiger's face. Chop the yolks with a knife and add them to the crab sticks.
- 4
Step 4

Add boiled rice and canned corn.
- 5
Step 5

Dress the salad with mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Step 6

Mix the salad. Do not add too much mayonnaise, so that the salad holds its shape and does not become soggy.
- 7
Step 7

Take the dish or plate on which you will serve the salad. Shape the tiger's face from the salad.
- 8
Step 8

Grate the carrot on the finest grater. Spread the carrot in a thin layer, following the contours of the face.
- 9
Step 9

Now the most important part: use grated egg white and sliced olives to arrange the ingredients, "drawing" the face of a tiger. For the tongue, I left a small piece of crab stick. The salad is ready; keep it in the refrigerator until serving.
