Step 1

1. Put the meat on to boil, as we need boiled beef. Meanwhile, wash and dice the cucumbers. Place them in a separate deep dish. Pour soy sauce over the cucumbers and mix. The cucumbers will marinate in the soy sauce for about an hour—almost until the meat is cooked. However, every 15 minutes, gently stir the cucumbers so they absorb the soy sauce evenly.

2. The meat has finished boiling. Let it cool slightly and cut into small cubes.

Step 3

3. Open the can of mushrooms. Pour out the juice and cut the mushrooms into small pieces. When the cucumbers have marinated sufficiently in the soy sauce, add the meat and mushrooms. Mix everything together.

Step 4

4. Chop the garlic cloves with a knife. By the way, Chinese people never crush garlic with a garlic press, they only chop it with a knife. Place the salad onto a plate and sprinkle it with the chopped garlic.
