
Sauerkraut soup
Description
Cabbage soup is an unusual but very tasty dish. Sauerkraut will give the soup a pleasantly sour flavor. To make the soup thick, add millet and potatoes. This warming homemade cabbage soup will come in handy on a cool autumn day or a winter evening. The soup is ready to serve.

1. Prepare the ingredients from the list.

2. Peel and cut the potatoes into sticks.

3. Place the chicken meat (fillet) in cold water and cook to make a broth. Simmer for 20 minutes, then season with salt at the end. Remove the meat from the soup and cut it into pieces, then return it to the soup. Add the potatoes and bring to a boil.

4. Rinse the millet and add it to the soup immediately after the potatoes. Cook the potatoes and millet for 15 minutes.

5. Add the sauerkraut and cook the soup for another 10 minutes.

6. Cut the vegetables for frying – carrots and onion – into small cubes.

7. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the vegetables and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.

8. Add the sautéed vegetables to the soup, mix well, and cook for another 5-7 minutes. Taste and season with a little pepper. The soup is ready; cover the pot with a lid and let it steep for 10-15 minutes.
