
Cabbage with carrots

The recipe won't take much time. It's a very simple, yet extremely tasty and crunchy salad. It's rich in fiber and vitamins, and the availability of ingredients makes this salad a favorite in many families. In my family, it's practically number one among fresh vegetable salads. We prepare the vegetables. Peel the onion, carrots, and garlic. For the salad, I cut off the top part of the cabbage—there are no thick stems there:)

Thinly slice the cabbage into strips.

Place in a bowl, lightly salt and massage. The cabbage will release juice and become softer. But don't overdo it—leave a little "crunch" :)

Grate the carrot on a medium grater, slice the onion as you prefer—either into cubes or half-rings. Finely mince the garlic using a press or chop it finely with a knife.

Add the onion, carrots, and garlic to the cabbage.

Add salt, sugar, vinegar or juice, and vegetable oil to the vegetables. Mix well and let stand for about 15 minutes.
