Korean-style marinated meat

Description

Minimum effort — excellent result. From a culinary standpoint, Korean-style meat "he" is more of a salad, and Koreans themselves consider this dish a type of appetizer or salad. He can be made with meat or fish and is a spicy dish with a pronounced garlic flavor, enhanced with meat or fish. It is most commonly prepared with herring, but meat versions also exist. The meat can be used raw or boiled. I prefer the boiled version. It can be served immediately.

Instructions

    Step 1

    1. To prepare Korean-style beef he, grate the peeled carrot on a Korean carrot shredder. If you don't have such a grater, you can thinly slice the carrot with a knife.

    2. Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings.

    3. In a bowl, mix the carrots and onions. Lightly press with your hands.

    4. Cut the boiled meat into thin strips. There are versions of He where beef, chicken, or turkey is used. In fact, the type of meat is not that important. Some variations of He use raw meat, which is frozen, then prepared as striganiña (frozen raw meat strips), and then marinated. For me, this is a risky way of preparing the dish. I prefer to use boiled meat.

    5. Combine the carrots, onions, and sliced meat. Mix vegetable oil with spices. Add garlic pressed through a garlic press to the oil. Add salt, sugar, and vinegar. Pour this mixture over the sliced ingredients. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours to marinate.

    6. After some time, serve the spicy meat he. This bright, aromatic, and quite spicy dish will be an excellent addition to your lunch and will stimulate your appetite not only with its taste and aroma but also with its appearance.

    7. Serve the Korean-style meat hee, garnished with fresh herbs. Alternatively, you can generously add chopped parsley to the finished hee. This is optional.
