Mushroom cream soup with button mushrooms
Description
The soup is simple and quick to prepare. The ideal cream soup is considered to have a thick and smooth consistency, so a blender is essential. Mushroom cream soup can be made using fresh, dried, or even frozen mushrooms. You can make delicious mushroom cream soup from various types of mushrooms, but in my opinion, the best choice is button mushrooms. They cook quickly, require no additional preparation, and have a rich flavor. I like to add garlic, paprika, and other spices to this soup, which pair perfectly with its delicate creamy taste and give it a wonderful aroma. Here is the recipe:
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel the onion, potatoes, garlic, and mushrooms.
- 2
Step 2

Chop the onion into small pieces and place it in a saucepan with a small amount of vegetable oil. Squeeze in the garlic and sauté until the onion becomes soft and the rich aroma of garlic appears.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the mushrooms into small pieces and add them to the saucepan with the onion. Cook until the mushrooms change color.
- 4
Step 4

Add the finely chopped potatoes and fry them for a while.
- 5
Step 5

Add paprika, salt, and cream.
- 6
Step 6

Pour in water or broth, making sure the ingredients are covered by no more than 1 cm. Of course, soup cooked in broth will be more flavorful, but if you don't have any, you can use water instead. Cook the soup (or I'd even say simmer it) for 15–20 minutes, until all the ingredients are tender.

Step 7

Purée the finished soup using a blender. Reserve 2-3 pieces of mushrooms for garnish. Pour the cream soup into small bowls, garnish as desired, and serve hot.
