Greek salad with cabbage

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Tradition is tradition, but Greek salad is definitely not a "gourmet" dish. In Greece itself, it's called "Horiatiki," meaning "Village" or "Peasant" salad. Aside from the standard ingredients—cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, onion, and feta—a distinctive feature of its preparation is the coarse chopping of ingredients. Sometimes, the cheese isn't even cut but placed on top of the salad in one whole piece! It was residents of other European countries who began adding new ingredients. And if this salad is made with meat, seafood, or fruits, why shouldn't a recipe for Greek salad with cabbage have the right to exist? Cabbage is a healthy and tasty product, and with its "crunchy" texture, it can easily rival leafy lettuce, which is commonly used in this dish. Shall we give it a try? :) Serve it at the table.
