Greek salad with basil

Description

Perfect for an everyday table. Oh, how wonderful it smells! This bright, unusual, cool aroma is unmistakable. No wonder "basilicum" translates as "royal." According to legend, basil was brought to Europe from Asia by the warriors of Alexander the Great. Whether that's true or not is unknown, but this fragrant herb has long been firmly established in many European cuisines—Italian, Provençal, and, of course, Greek. Basil pairs wonderfully with brined cheeses and fresh vegetables, so it's no surprise that the recipe for Greek salad with basil is popular all around the world. I love it very much too—I hope you'll like it as well ;) Garnish to taste and serve.
