
Pea soup with sausage

20-30 minutes will be enough for the peas to swell. Drain the water. Rinse the peas with plain water, place them in a saucepan, and pour in half of the broth. Cook until boiling, remembering to skim off the foam. Add baking soda—the peas will become softer.
