
Pea soup with potatoes
Description
Soak the peas overnight, then the next day, an hour before lunch, put them on to cook. Prepare a sauté of onion and carrot. Add potatoes, the sauté, and spices to the peas in the pot. Serve the soup hot.

Soak the peas in water overnight. In the morning, drain the water.

Dice the onion.

Grate the carrot on a coarse grater.

Cut the potatoes into small pieces.

Sauté onion in vegetable oil.

Add the carrots. Fry everything together. Place the peas in a pot. Pour in 2 liters of water. Put it on the stove to boil. Let the peas cook on their own for about 40 minutes.

When the peas become soft, add the potatoes. Cook for 10 minutes. Now add the sautéed vegetables. Cook everything until done.

Add salt, spices, and bay leaf to the soup. Cook the soup until done. Ladle into bowls and serve.
