(classic salad)
Description
The salad is quick and easy to prepare. There are different variations of the dish—for example, fried potatoes can be replaced with Chinese or regular cabbage. Instead of ham, you can use smoked meat. The salad does not need to be chilled in the refrigerator for long before serving; 10-15 minutes is enough. The salad is ready to serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
First, peel the potatoes and grate them on a Korean-style carrot grater. Heat a skillet with a minimal amount of oil, fry the potatoes until golden brown, then transfer them to a plate and season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Step 2
Boil the chicken meat and let it cool, then shred into fibers. Cut the ham into thin strips. Cut the mushrooms into pieces.
- 3
Step 3
Boil the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Grate the whites on a coarse grater.
- 4
Step 4
Rub the yolks into a separate bowl, add grated processed cheese, minced garlic (pressed), and a little chopped greenery, salt to taste and mix, then add a little mayonnaise. Shape into small balls resembling quail eggs.
- 5
Step 5
Place the meat, ham, egg whites, and chicken white in a salad bowl, add mayonnaise, and mix. Shape it into a nest-like form with a small indentation in the center.
- 6
Step 6
Place the fried potatoes around the edges, and put the "quail eggs" in the indentation.
- 7
Step 7
Chill the salad in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, then serve garnished with fresh herbs.
