French salad dressing
Description
Minimum effort — excellent result. The ingredients are affordable and inexpensive, and the process takes no more than 20 minutes. This dressing goes well with a light vegetable salad, a hearty meat dish, or delicate fish. You can prepare the dressing in advance and keep it for later use, but it's best to make it right before serving. Ready to serve immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Into a saucepan or a small bowl, I put a tablespoon of mustard (French or American is fine, but not Russian).
- 2
Step 2

I pour in cold-pressed olive oil; you can use a bit more, depending on the salad portion.
- 3
Step 3

Add black ground pepper and salt, thoroughly mix all ingredients.
- 4
Step 4

I pour in honey (I use May honey, but you can use another kind). It's better to melt it beforehand.
- 5
Step 5

I wash a sprig of fresh basil, chop it finely, add it to the dressing, and mix thoroughly.
- 6
Step 6

I dress a vegetable salad based on tomatoes and cucumbers with the resulting sauce and serve it.
