Description

Rustic-style hearty and delicious stew. The dish includes many different ingredients, but the main ones are diced ham and beans. Serve the soup hot.

    1. Soak the beans overnight. Then rinse them well, cover with cold water, and start cooking. Once the beans come to a boil, drain the water, rinse the beans, add fresh water, and continue cooking. Repeat this process once again. The last time, cover the beans with pork broth.

    2. While the beans are finishing cooking, prepare the sauté. To do this, dice the onion and fry it in vegetable oil. You can fry it to your preference: until golden brown, or just lightly sautéed.

    3. Cut the chopped ham into thick strips. Fried or boiled pork can easily be used instead of ham. Smoked bacon, sausage, or chicken will also work.

    4. Pass the garlic through a press and finely chop a little green onion.

    5. Add garlic, ham, and fried onions to the cooked beans, and mix everything thoroughly. Season with spices and salt to taste. Simmer on low heat for about three minutes. Add green onions at the very end.
